All Volunteer, All the Time

AEDs or Defibrillators are machines used to shock a person's heart back into rhythm which may save his or her life.  These easy to operate machines have been placed thoughout town to ensure easy access during an emergency.

The Water Committee of the Fire Department works with individuals and community groups to ensure that selected ponds are dredged and safe access provided to fire trucks in case of an emergency. Cisterns are encouraged as there are very few fire hydrants in the Township.

 National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) suggests some safety tips for outdoor grilling:

Smoke alarms save lives. Install at least one smoke alarm on each level of your home and in or near all sleeping areas.
